Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg + Voglibose 0.2 mg (per tablet)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus; helps control post-meal (postprandial) and fasting blood glucose in adults when diet and exercise are not enough.
Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays carbohydrate digestion in the intestine, reducing post-meal glucose spikes. Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, helping the body use insulin better.
Oral tablet. Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually with meals to reduce stomach upset. Swallow with water; do not crush/chew unless advised. Follow diet/exercise plan and monitor blood glucose regularly.

Use only for type 2 diabetes as advised. Metformin: risk of lactic acidosis (rare but serious) especially in kidney impairment, dehydration, severe infection, alcohol use, liver disease, heart failure, or hypoxia—seek urgent care for fast breathing, severe weakness, abdominal pain, or unusual sleepiness. Avoid/withhold around iodinated contrast studies and major surgery as per doctor. Voglibose: may cause GI gas/diarrhea; use caution in inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal obstruction, or severe digestive disorders. Monitor renal function, liver enzymes as advised, and vitamin B12 with long-term use. Hypoglycaemia can occur when combined with insulin/sulfonylureas—carry glucose; treat low sugar with glucose (not sucrose) when on alpha-glucosidase inhibitors.
