How Tibofem Tablet works

Tibofem Tablet is a hormonal medication. It has effects similar to estrogen, progesterone and androgen. It substitutes for the loss of estrogen production in postmenopausal women and treats menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats and vaginal problems. It also prevents bone loss following menopause.

How to take Tibofem Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tibofem Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Tibofem Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Tibofem than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Tibofem are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
