How Tibrolin D Tablet works

Tibrolin D Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Trypsin, Bromelain, Rutoside and Diclofenac. Trypsin and Bromelain are enzymes. They increase blood supply and make the body produce substances that fight pain and swelling. Rutoside is an antioxidant which protects the body from damage by chemicals (free radicals) and further reduces swelling. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

How to take Tibrolin D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tibrolin D Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Tibrolin D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can seriously suppress the bone marrow and damage the liver. It can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Tibrolin D are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy.

Do not take Tibrolin D if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active serious infection, or with severe liver or bone-marrow disease. Several of these medicines must not be used in pregnancy. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Interactions with other medicines

Tell your doctor about all other medicines, especially anti-inflammatory painkillers and antibiotics. Live vaccines are generally avoided while on immune-suppressing treatment. Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time.
