Torasemide (10mg)
Treatment of edema (fluid retention) associated with heart failure, liver disease or kidney disease; also used for management of hypertension when prescribed.
Torsemide is a loop diuretic. It blocks sodium and chloride reabsorption in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, increasing urine output and reducing excess fluid and blood pressure.
Take by mouth as prescribed, usually once daily (preferably in the morning) with or without food. Avoid taking late in the day to prevent nighttime urination; follow doctor’s dose adjustments and monitoring advice.
Common side effects of Torsafe 10MG Tab may include:

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Torsafe 10MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in kidney or liver impairment, dehydration, low blood pressure, diabetes, gout (may increase uric acid) and electrolyte disturbances. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function and electrolytes (especially potassium, sodium, magnesium) is advised. Excessive diuresis can cause dehydration and fainting; avoid driving if dizzy. Seek medical help for severe weakness, confusion, irregular heartbeat, hearing changes, or allergic reactions (sulfonamide-related hypersensitivity possible).
