Torsemide 20 mg
Treatment of fluid retention (edema) due to heart failure, kidney disease or liver disease; management of hypertension (as advised by doctor).
Torsemide is a loop diuretic that blocks sodium and chloride reabsorption in the ascending loop of Henle in the kidneys. This increases urine output and reduces excess fluid and blood pressure.
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning to avoid nighttime urination. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet with water. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
Common side effects of TORSEPURE 20MG TAB may include:
May cause dehydration and electrolyte disturbances—monitor potassium, sodium, kidney function and blood pressure regularly. Use with caution in kidney or liver impairment, diabetes, gout, and in elderly patients. Can cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected. Seek help for severe weakness, confusion, fainting, very low urine output, hearing changes, or allergic reactions (sulfonamide-related).
