Uses of Torsepure 20MG Tab

Treatment of fluid retention (edema) due to heart failure, kidney disease or liver disease; management of hypertension (as advised by doctor).

• •Reduces swelling due to fluid overload
• •Improves breathlessness in heart failure-related edema
• •Helps remove excess salt and water
• •Lowers blood pressure in some patients
• •Reduces hospitalizations related to fluid retention (when used as prescribed)

How it works

Torsemide is a loop diuretic that blocks sodium and chloride reabsorption in the ascending loop of Henle in the kidneys. This increases urine output and reduces excess fluid and blood pressure.

Directions for use

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning to avoid nighttime urination. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet with water. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
