How Vaxirab-N Injection works

How to take Vaxirab-N Injection

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

If you miss a dose of Vaxirab N 2.5IU Injection, please consult your doctor.

If you take too much

Taking more Vaxirab-N than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Vaxirab-N Injection

Most side effects of Vaxirab-N are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Vaxirab-N Injection

Store Vaxirab-N below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Vaxirab-N Injection

Vaxirab N 2.5IU Injection helps prevent rabies. It is given as an injection into the muscle of the upper arm. If you are at risk of being bitten, the vaccine is given as a course of three injections on 0, 3, and 7 days. A booster dose is needed one year after completing this course. You may experience headaches or fatigue. Inform your doctor who may prescribe you a suitable painkiller to give you relief. Never self-medicate.
