Amoxicillin 400 mg + Clavulanic Acid 57 mg per 5 ml (total 457 mg/5 ml)
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections such as ear, nose and throat infections (sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media), lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections.
Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, killing susceptible bacteria. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects amoxicillin from breakdown by beta-lactamase–producing bacteria, thereby broadening coverage.
Dry syrup for oral use. Reconstitute with boiled and cooled water up to the mark, shake well, and use the measuring cup/spoon. Give the dose as prescribed by the doctor (commonly in 2 divided doses every 12 hours), preferably at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset. Shake well before each dose and complete the full course.
