Uses of Winvert 8 Tab

Management of vertigo associated with Ménière’s disease and vestibular disorders (episodes of dizziness/vertigo, tinnitus, nausea/vomiting, hearing fluctuation).

• •Helps in Ménière’s disease symptom control
• •May reduce associated nausea and vomiting
• •Improves inner ear blood flow

How it works

Betahistine is a histamine analogue that acts mainly as an H3-receptor antagonist and weak H1 agonist. It improves microcirculation in the inner ear and helps reduce endolymphatic pressure, thereby decreasing vertigo symptoms.

Directions for use

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed by the doctor, preferably with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow with water; do not crush/chew unless advised.

Warnings & precautions

Use with caution in patients with bronchial asthma, peptic ulcer disease or history of ulcers. Caution in pheochromocytoma. If allergic symptoms (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty) occur, stop and seek medical help. May cause mild drowsiness in some—use caution while driving if affected.
