How to take Xpertyl 600 mg Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xpertyl 600mg Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Xpertyl 600mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Xpertyl than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

A mild sulfur-like odor from Xpertyl 600mg Tablet is normal and does not mean the medicine has deteriorated. Drink plenty of fluids while taking Xpertyl 600mg Tablet, as this helps loosen mucus and improves airway clearance. You may notice a more productive cough as mucus becomes thinner, which is usually part of the medicine’s action. Take Xpertyl 600mg Tablet after food if it causes stomach upset or nausea. Avoid smoking and exposure to dust or irritants, as they can worsen respiratory symptoms. Do not combine Xpertyl 600mg Tablet with multiple cough medicines unless your doctor advises you to. If you have asthma, monitor for worsening wheezing and seek medical advice if breathing difficulty increases.
