How Zaride Tablet works

Zaride 0.5mg Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme that is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.

How to take Zaride Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zaride 0.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Zaride 0.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Zaride than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Zaride Tablet

Most side effects of Zaride are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Zaride Tablet

Store Zaride below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Zaride Tablet

Zaride 0.5mg Tablet may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Zaride 0.5mg Tablet. Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor. Zaride 0.5mg Tablet is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects, such as low sexual drive. Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Zaride 0.5mg Tablet.
