Cardace AM 5/10 Tablet

Cardace Am 5/10 Tablet contains Amlodipine (5mg) + Ramipril (10mg) and is used for high blood pressure when a combination of medicines is needed for better control. Prescription required.

Ramipril (ACE inhibitor) reduces angiotensin II formation, relaxing blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine (calcium channel blocker) relaxes arterial smooth muscle, improving blood flow and further reducing blood pressure.

Take once daily or as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not discontinue abruptly. Monitor BP; periodic kidney function and potassium monitoring may be advised.

Dizziness, headache, ankle swelling (edema), flushing, palpitations, dry cough, fatigue, low blood pressure

Do not use in pregnancy. Seek urgent care for angioedema. Amlodipine may cause ankle swelling; report severe edema or shortness of breath. Use caution in kidney disease, dehydration, liver impairment (amlodipine), and with diuretics. Avoid potassium supplements unless advised.

NSAIDs, potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics, lithium, ARBs/aliskiren, sacubitril/valsartan; amlodipine interactions with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., clarithromycin, azoles) and simvastatin (dose limitations)

Store below 25°C, keep in a dry place away from moisture and light.
