Neutrogena Visible Repair Serum is a medicine containing Retinol (strength not specified), Hyaluronic acid (strength not specified). It is used for helps reduce appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, supports visible skin repair, smoother texture, improves skin firmness and radiance. It belongs to the group of medicines called Topical retinoid (retinol) + humectant moisturizer.
For external use only. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Neutrogena Visible Repair Serum are skin irritation, redness, dryness and peeling. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Neutrogena Visible Repair Serum works.
Most side effects of Neutrogena Visible Repair Serum are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
For external use only. Apply a small amount to clean, dry face once daily in the evening; start 2–3 times/week and increase as tolerated. Follow with moisturizer; use sunscreen (SPF) every morning. Avoid eye/lip area and broken/irritated skin.
Retinol (a vitamin A derivative) promotes skin cell turnover and supports collagen to improve the look of fine lines and uneven texture. Hyaluronic acid helps attract and retain moisture, improving hydration and plumpness for smoother-looking skin.
Patch test before first use. Retinol products can cause irritation and photosensitivity—use daily sunscreen and limit sun exposure. Stop use and consult a doctor if severe irritation, swelling, blistering or persistent rash occurs. Avoid combining initially with other strong actives (AHA/BHA exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide) if irritation occurs. Not for use on broken skin; keep out of reach of children.
Apply it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next application, skip the missed one — applying extra does not make up for it.
An overdose of this medicine can cause vomiting, stomach pain and, with some minerals, damage over the longer term. It is not a realistic risk from a moisturiser used on the skin. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Store at room temperature (below 25–30°C), away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep container tightly closed; avoid moisture contamination.
