Torsid Plus LS 10/25 Tablet

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it in the morning. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Torasemide and Spironolactone. Torasemide helps your kidneys remove surplus salt and water, which reduces swelling and lowers blood pressure. Spironolactone helps your kidneys remove surplus salt and water, which reduces swelling and lowers blood pressure.

Take it in the morning so that passing urine does not disturb your sleep. Your doctor will check your salts and kidney function with blood tests — do not skip them. Report muscle cramps, marked weakness, confusion or an irregular heartbeat; these can be signs your potassium or sodium has fallen. In hot weather or during an illness with vomiting or loose motions, tell your doctor — you may become dehydrated quickly. This water tablet KEEPS potassium rather than losing it. Do not take potassium supplements or potassium-based salt substitutes with it unless your doctor has specifically told you to. Report muscle weakness, numbness or an irregular heartbeat — these can be signs potassium has risen too high. Breast tenderness or enlargement can occur in men; tell your doctor if it troubles you.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
