How Adride-2 works

Adride 2mg Tablet is an antidiabetic medication. It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower blood glucose.

How to take Adride-2

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Adride 2mg Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you missed a a dose of Adride 2mg Tablet, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the usual time.

If you take too much

Taking more Adride-2 than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Adride-2 are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Expert advice for Adride-2

Take Adride 2mg Tablet shortly before or with the first main meal of the day (usually breakfast). Exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet and take your other diabetes medicines (if prescribed) alongside. Monitor your blood sugar level regularly while you are taking Adride 2mg Tablet. Adride 2mg Tablet can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal. Be careful while driving or operating machinery until you know how Adride 2mg Tablet affects you. Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor and anxiety. Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms, such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice).
