How Azeflo Ft works

AZEflo FT Nasal Spray is a combination of two medicines. Fluticasone Furoate is a steroid that works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Azelastine is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body. This is how AZEflo FT Nasal Spray treats an allergic runny nose.

How to take Azeflo Ft

Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breath gently and keep the head upright. Repeat the same process for the other nostrils.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of AZEflo FT Nasal Spray, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.

If you take too much

Taking more Azeflo Ft than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Azeflo Ft

Most side effects of Azeflo Ft are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Azeflo Ft

Store Azeflo Ft below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

The right way to use the nasal spray: Shake the bottle before using the medicine. Clean your nose thoroughly before using the medicine. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. Breathe out gently through your mouth and repeat the same process for the other nostril. Avoid deep breathing as it will cause medication to go back to the throat and make it less effective. Do not share the bottle with anyone else so that you do not spread germs. AZEflo FT Nasal Spray should be avoided in patients with recent nasal ulcers, nasal surgery, or nasal trauma.
