Same salt, different brand — what does that mean?

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Carloc 3.125 Tablet. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.

All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.

Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.

Composition of Carloc 3.125 Tablet

Carloc 3.125 Tablet contains Carvedilol (3.125mg). It belongs to the Non-selective beta-blocker with alpha-1 blocker (beta-adrenergic blocker) class of medicines.

Uses of Carloc 3.125 Tablet

  • Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • chronic heart failure (as add-on therapy)
  • left ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction (to improve survival and reduce complications)

How Carloc 3.125 Tablet works

How to take Carloc 3.125 Tablet

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Carloc as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Carloc than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
