How it works

The meter measures glucose in a small drop of capillary blood applied to a compatible test strip. The strip’s enzyme-based electrochemical reaction generates an electrical signal proportional to glucose concentration, which the meter converts to a reading.

Directions for use

Use only with compatible Contour Plus test strips. Wash and dry hands, insert strip into meter, use lancing device to obtain a small fingertip blood drop, touch blood to strip tip and wait for result. Follow the user manual for coding (if applicable), target ranges, and cleaning; use as often as advised by your doctor.
