Cystopen 100 mg Capsule contains Pentosan polysulfate sodium (100mg).
Interstitial cystitis
Cystopen Capsule works by attaching to the bladder wall and forming a protective barrier. This helps prevent harmful substances in urine from irritating the bladder lining. Additionally, it has mild blood-thinning properties and may improve blood flow to the bladder, supporting healing and reducing inflammation.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Cystopen Capsule is to be taken on an empty stomach.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Cystopen Capsule, please consult your doctor.
Taking more Cystopen than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Cystopen are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Store Cystopen below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Take it at least 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals. Inform your doctor if you will be undergoing any surgery or are taking anticoagulants such as warfarin sodium, heparin, or high doses of aspirin, as Cystopen Capsule may increase the risk of bleeding.
