Edavit 1.5 mg Injection is used for this medicine is used in the treatment of neurological conditions, migraine, vertigo and psychiatric conditions.
Edavit 1.5 mg Injection contains Edaravone (1.5mg). It belongs to the Central nervous system agent class of medicines.
Edaravone acts on the brain and nervous system to control the symptoms of your condition.
This is given by a doctor or a nurse. Do not attempt to inject it yourself unless you have been trained and told to. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine can cause deep drowsiness, confusion and fits. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Most side effects of Edavit are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Do not stop this medicine suddenly without asking your doctor. This medicine causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Report any change in mood, sleep or behaviour.
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack.
Alcohol and other sedating medicines add to the drowsiness.
Store as printed on the carton — some injections need refrigeration and must not be frozen. Keep out of the reach of children.
