Habit formingYES

This medicine can cause dependence with prolonged use. Take it only under medical supervision and do not stop it abruptly.

• Take the larger part of the dose at night if drowsiness is a problem.
• Rise slowly from sitting or lying, especially in the first weeks.
• Keep your review appointment so the dose can be adjusted to the lowest that controls your pain.
• Give it a fair trial of several weeks, and keep your review appointments.
• Take it at the same time each day.
• At night if it makes you drowsy, in the morning if it disturbs sleep.
• Talking therapy alongside medicine works better than either alone for most people.
