Warnings and precautions

Stop and contact your doctor at once if you develop pain, swelling or tenderness in a tendon — the Achilles tendon at the back of the ankle in particular. This group can damage tendons, and the risk is higher in older people and with steroids. Report any new numbness, tingling or burning in the hands or feet promptly. Tell your doctor about any change in mood, confusion or agitation. Avoid strong sunlight and use sun protection — this group makes the skin burn more easily. Finish the whole course; this group is heavily associated with antibiotic resistance and should be used only when prescribed.

Do not take Glevo if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Generally avoided in children and adolescents, in pregnancy, and in anyone with a history of tendon problems with these antibiotics.

Interactions with other medicines

Antacids, iron, zinc, calcium and milk markedly reduce absorption — separate them by at least two hours. Tell your doctor if you take steroids, a blood thinner or a medicine for heart rhythm.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Your doctor has prescribed Glevo 500 Tablet to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Discontinue Glevo 500 Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
