How to take Glycobreez-I Capsule

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Glycobreez-I Capsule, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, marked tremor, headache and a fall in blood potassium. It may be harmful — seek medical advice immediately. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions

Know which of your inhalers is the reliever and which is the preventer. A preventer must be used every day even when you feel well; a reliever is for symptoms. Seek emergency care if your reliever is not working, if you cannot speak a full sentence, or if you are using the reliever far more often than usual. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after every steroid inhaler dose to prevent thrush and hoarseness. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to watch your technique — poor technique is the commonest reason an inhaler seems not to work. Use a spacer if one has been advised, particularly for children. This is a prescription-only medicine. Take it exactly as your doctor has directed, for the period directed. Do not share it with anyone else, even if their symptoms seem the same. Tell your doctor about every other medicine, supplement and herbal product you take. Report any unexpected or severe symptom to your doctor rather than stopping on your own.

Interactions with other medicines

Beta blockers, including eye drops for glaucoma, can tighten the airways and reduce the effect of your reliever. Give your doctor and pharmacist a full list of everything you take.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Glycobreez-I Capsule is a combination of two medicines that makes breathing easier for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medicine is for inhalation only. The tablet should not be swallowed. It should be taken at the same time each day. It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Take the first dose of this medicine under medical supervision as it may cause wheezing or tightening of the airways (bronchospasm) immediately after using. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood potassium levels as low oxygen levels in the blood (hypoxia) and COPD medicines such as Glycobreez-I Capsule can lower potassium levels in blood.
