Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Glypten-M Forte 1000mg/20mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glypten-M Forte 1000mg/20mg Tablet should be taken with or after food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Glypten-M Forte 1000mg/20mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Glypten M Forte than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Glypten M Forte. Some combinations can change how Glypten M Forte works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Glypten M Forte below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
You have been prescribed this combination medicine as it can control blood sugar better than metformin alone. Take it in addition to regular exercise and a healthy diet to lower levels of blood sugar. Take it with food to lower your chance of having an upset stomach. Chances of weight gain and low blood sugar are lesser as compared to other diabetes medicines. Monitor your blood sugar level regularly while you are taking this medicine. Inform your doctor about your diabetes treatment if you are due to have surgery under a general anesthetic. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, persistent nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain as Glypten-M Forte 1000mg/20mg Tablet may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood.
Medicines with the same active ingredient (Metformin (1000mg) + Teneligliptin (20mg)). Ask your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands.
