I-Glow Gel contains Aloe Vera (2%w/w) + Allantoin (0.5%w/w) + Kojic Acid (2%w/w) + Octinoxate (5%w/w) + Arbutin (2%w/w) + Licorice (1%w/w) + Glycolic Acid (7.5%w/w) + Vitamin E (0.3%w/w) + Niacinamide (3%w/w). It belongs to the Moisturiser / skin barrier repair, Skin preparation, Vitamin and mineral supplement, Antioxidant / trace element supplement and B-complex vitamin class of medicines.

How to take I-Glow Gel

Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer and rub it in gently. Wash your hands before and after use, unless your hands are the area being treated. This is for use on the skin only — do not swallow it. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Most side effects of I-Glow are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Safety advice for I-Glow Gel

Warnings and precautions

Apply generously and often — several times a day, and always within a few minutes of a bath while the skin is still damp. Some paraffin-based emollients are flammable when they soak into clothing and bedding. Keep away from open flames and cigarettes. Stop if the skin becomes more red, itchy or sore after use. For external use only, unless the pack says otherwise. Stop if the skin becomes more irritated, and see a doctor if the condition worsens or spreads. Do a small test patch first if you have sensitive skin. A supplement is not a substitute for a balanced diet or for treating the cause of a symptom. Iron makes stools black and can cause constipation — this is expected, but tell your doctor if it troubles you. Keep iron-containing products well out of reach of children; an overdose in a small child is a medical emergency. Check the labels of everything you take so you do not double up on the same nutrient. A supplement supports a normal diet; it does not prevent or treat infection. Zinc on an empty stomach commonly causes nausea — take it with food. Very high doses of vitamin A over a long period can be harmful, particularly in pregnancy. Do not take several products containing the same nutrient at once; the totals add up. Tingling, numbness or burning in the hands and feet should be assessed by a doctor rather than self-treated — a supplement does not address the cause. Folic acid can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency while nerve damage continues, so B12 should be checked before taking folic acid long term. Bright yellow urine after a B-complex dose is expected and harmless.
