Jubira F10 mg Tablet contains Dapagliflozin 10 mg. It belongs to the SGLT2 inhibitor class of medicines.

Uses of Jubira F10 mg Tablet

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to improve glycaemic control) as an adjunct to diet and exercise; may be used in combination with other antidiabetic medicines as prescribed. May also be used for heart failure and chronic kidney disease in eligible patients as per doctor’s advice.

How Jubira F10 mg Tablet works

Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that reduces glucose reabsorption in the kidneys. This increases urinary glucose excretion, lowering blood sugar and causing mild diuresis which can help reduce blood pressure and fluid overload.

How to take Jubira F10 mg Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not stop or change dose without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause dehydration and a fall in blood pressure. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Jubira F10 mg are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Genital fungal infection (thrush)
• urinary tract infection
• increased urination
• thirst
• dehydration
• dizziness
• low blood sugar (especially with insulin/sulfonylureas)
• nausea

Warnings and precautions

Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Risk of dehydration/low BP—use caution in elderly, those on diuretics, or with low BP. Risk of genital infections; maintain hygiene and seek care for pain, swelling, fever, or discharge. Rare but serious: ketoacidosis (even with normal sugars), serious UTI/pyelonephritis, Fournier’s gangrene—seek urgent care if symptoms occur. Monitor kidney function; efficacy reduces with low eGFR and use may be restricted in significant renal impairment. Temporarily stop before major surgery/acute illness as advised to reduce ketoacidosis risk.

Do not take Jubira F10 mg if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for type 1 diabetes or for diabetic ketoacidosis. Not for people with severe kidney disease.

Interactions with other medicines

Insulin and sulfonylureas (increased hypoglycaemia risk),diuretics (increased dehydration/hypotension risk),lithium (levels may decrease),other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering),rifampicin/phenytoin/phenobarbital (may reduce effect)

Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
