How Melano Tx Tablet works

Typically contains tranexamic acid, which reduces plasmin activity and downstream inflammatory mediators involved in melanocyte activation. This helps decrease excess melanin production and improves hyperpigmentation over time.

How to take Melano Tx Tablet

Take as prescribed by a dermatologist. Usually taken orally at the same time each day; can be taken with or without food (take after food if stomach upset occurs). Do not self-medicate or exceed the prescribed duration.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Melano Tx as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Melano Tx than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Melano Tx Tablet

Most side effects of Melano Tx are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• abdominal discomfort
• headache
• dizziness
• menstrual irregularities

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Melano Tx Tablet

Warnings and precautions

Use only under medical supervision. Tranexamic acid (commonly used in melasma tablets) can increase risk of blood clots; avoid/use with caution in history of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, stroke, thrombophilia, or with prolonged immobilization. Seek urgent care for chest pain, breathlessness, leg swelling/pain, sudden vision changes, or severe headache. Use caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed). Not recommended with combined hormonal contraceptives unless doctor advises. Regular follow-up is advised; use broad-spectrum sunscreen alongside treatment.

Interactions with other medicines

Combined oral contraceptives/estrogen therapy (increased thrombosis risk), anticoagulants (may reduce anticoagulant effect), thrombolytics (opposing effects), other antifibrinolytics
