How Nexchio Capsule works

Nexchio 40mg Capsule is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.

How to take Nexchio Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Nexchio 40mg Capsule is to be taken on an empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Nexchio 40mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Nexchio than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

How to store Nexchio Capsule

Nexchio 40mg Capsule is best taken 1 hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. Avoid drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and excessive intake of carbonated beverages/soft drinks, citrus juices, fried food, and caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee. Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever, or stomach pain that does not go away. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days, as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention. Long-term use of Nexchio 40mg Capsule can cause weak bones and a deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor.
