Composition of Rabeox Dsr Capsule

Rabeox Dsr Capsule contains Rabeprazole 20 mg (enteric-coated) + Domperidone 30 mg (sustained release). It belongs to the Proton pump inhibitor (Rabeprazole) + Dopamine D2 receptor antagonist/prokinetic (Domperidone SR) class of medicines.

How Rabeox Dsr Capsule works

Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production by blocking the gastric H+/K+ ATPase pump. Domperidone is a prokinetic/antiemetic that increases gastric emptying and helps reduce nausea by blocking dopamine (D2) receptors in the gut and chemoreceptor trigger zone.

How to take Rabeox Dsr Capsule

Take as directed by a doctor, usually 1 capsule once daily before food (preferably 15–30 minutes before breakfast). Swallow whole; do not crush or open the capsule as it contains sustained/enteric-coated components.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Rabeox Dsr as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Rabeox Dsr than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Rabeox Dsr Capsule

Most side effects of Rabeox Dsr are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• dry mouth
• abdominal pain
• diarrhea
• constipation
• nausea
• flatulence

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Rabeox Dsr Capsule

Warnings and precautions

Not for self-medication for persistent symptoms. Domperidone may increase risk of QT prolongation/serious heart rhythm problems—use with caution in heart disease, electrolyte imbalance, and in elderly; avoid if known prolonged QT or history of arrhythmia. Seek medical help if black stools, vomiting blood, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, or severe abdominal pain. Long-term PPI use may be associated with low magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency, bone fracture risk, and increased risk of gastrointestinal infections. Use caution in severe liver impairment. Not recommended in patients with prolactin-secreting pituitary tumor (prolactinoma) or gastrointestinal obstruction/bleeding/perforation.

Interactions with other medicines

QT-prolonging drugs (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol, certain antipsychotics), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin, ritonavir) may increase domperidone levels, other prokinetics/anticholinergics, anticoagulants (warfarin—monitor), digoxin, drugs needing gastric acidity for absorption (e.g., ketoconazole/itraconazole, iron salts), methotrexate (high-dose), clopidogrel (possible reduced activation with some PPIs)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture. Keep in original blister pack. Keep out of reach of children.
