Uses of Scabdol Lotion

Treatment of scabies and relief of associated itching (pruritus); may also be used for pediculosis (lice) if prescribed.

How it works

Scabicides kill the scabies mite (Sarcoptes scabiei) and its eggs/larvae, breaking the infestation cycle. This reduces skin inflammation and helps relieve itching over time.

Directions for use

For external use only. Apply as directed by a doctor—typically apply a thin layer over the entire body from neck to toes (including skin folds) on clean, dry skin; leave on for the prescribed duration and then wash off. Treat close contacts if advised; wash/heat-dry clothes, bedding and towels. Avoid eyes, mouth and broken/irritated skin unless advised.

Warnings & precautions

Use only on skin. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and mucous membranes; rinse with water if contact occurs. Do not apply on severely inflamed, broken or oozing skin unless advised. Itching may persist for days to weeks after successful scabies treatment; do not overuse. Seek medical advice for infants, pregnant/breastfeeding women, extensive skin disease, or if symptoms persist/worsen. Stop and seek care if severe allergy (swelling, severe rash, breathing difficulty) occurs.
