Composition of Scaraze Gel

Scaraze Gel contains Extractum Cepae-Cepalin (0.1gm) + Heparin (50IU) + Allantoin (0.01gm). It belongs to the Topical scar-reducing/skin protectant (often silicone-based) class of medicines.

How Scaraze Gel works

Scar management gels typically form a protective, hydrating film over the scar to reduce water loss and normalize collagen remodeling. This helps soften and flatten raised scars and reduces redness, itching and tightness over time.

How to take Scaraze Gel

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer of gel over the scar and gently massage until absorbed. Use 2-3 times daily for at least 8-12 weeks (older scars may take longer). Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; do not apply on open wounds.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Scaraze as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Scaraze than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Scaraze Gel

Most side effects of Scaraze are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• skin irritation
• rash

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Do not use on broken/infected skin or open wounds. Stop use and consult a doctor if severe irritation, allergy, swelling or worsening occurs. Avoid use if allergic to any ingredient. Keep away from eyes; rinse with water if contact occurs. If used in children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, consult a doctor if irritation occurs or if using on large areas.

Interactions with other medicines

No significant drug interactions expected with topical scar gels; avoid applying concurrently with other irritating topical products on the same area unless advised by a doctor.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Keep cap tightly closed.
