Spironolactone (25mg) + Torasemide (10mg)
Used to treat fluid retention (edema) and swelling due to heart failure, liver disease (ascites/cirrhosis) or kidney disease; also used in hypertension where a diuretic combination is required.
Torasemide is a loop diuretic that increases salt and water excretion from the kidneys, reducing fluid overload and blood pressure. Spironolactone is an aldosterone antagonist (potassium-sparing diuretic) that helps remove excess fluid while reducing potassium loss and countering aldosterone-related salt retention.
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily, preferably in the morning to avoid night-time urination. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day. Do not stop or change dose without medical advice.

Monitor blood pressure, kidney function (creatinine) and electrolytes (especially potassium and sodium). Risk of hyperkalemia is higher in kidney disease, diabetes, elderly, or when used with ACE inhibitors/ARBs/potassium supplements. Can cause dehydration and hypotension; use caution while driving/standing up quickly. Use with caution in liver disease; severe renal impairment/anuria may require avoidance. Spironolactone may cause hormonal side effects (breast enlargement, menstrual irregularities). Seek medical help for severe weakness, palpitations, fainting, confusion, or reduced urine output.
