Sertaconazole nitrate 2% w/w cream
Topical treatment of fungal skin infections such as athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), ringworm (tinea corporis), and cutaneous candidiasis; may also be used for pityriasis (tinea) versicolor as advised by a doctor.
Sertaconazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This damages the membrane, inhibits fungal growth, and helps clear infection while relieving itching and redness.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin (and surrounding area) as prescribed, usually once or twice daily. Continue for the full course even if symptoms improve; wash hands after application and avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin unless advised.
Common side effects of SERTACIDE CREAM may include:
Do not use if allergic to sertaconazole/imidazole antifungals. Avoid eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes; rinse with water if contact occurs. Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling, blistering, or allergy occurs, or if no improvement after the prescribed duration. Use with caution on large areas, under occlusion, or on broken skin. If pregnant, breastfeeding, or treating a child, use only on medical advice.
