Composition of Terbinaforce M Cream

Terbinaforce M Cream contains Mometasone (0.1% w/w) + Terbinafine (1% w/w). It belongs to the Allylamine antifungal (squalene epoxidase inhibitor) class of medicines.

How Terbinaforce M Cream works

Terbinafine is an antifungal that inhibits squalene epoxidase, blocking ergosterol synthesis needed for fungal cell membranes. This leads to fungal cell death and clears the infection.

How to take Terbinaforce M Cream

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer once or twice daily as directed and rub gently. Continue for the full course even if symptoms improve; wash hands after application and avoid covering tightly unless advised.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Terbinaforce-M Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Terbinaforce M than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Terbinaforce M Cream

Most side effects of Terbinaforce M are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and open wounds; rinse with water if contact occurs. Do not use on broken/oozing skin unless prescribed. Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or allergic reaction occurs. If no improvement in 1–2 weeks or infection is widespread/recurrent, consult a doctor. Use with caution in children, and in pregnancy/breastfeeding only on medical advice; do not apply on breasts before feeding.

How to store Terbinaforce M Cream

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from heat and direct light. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Terbinaforce-M Cream must be applied to the affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water and dry well. Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas. Stop using Terbinaforce-M Cream and inform your doctor if you notice any irritation, or any other skin infection. Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2-6 weeks of treatment. It is advisable not to touch or scratch the infected area as it can worsen the situation.
