How Thyrofit 75 works

Thyrofit 75 Tablet is a synthetic version of a hormone produced by the thyroid gland. It works by replacing the thyroid hormones that your thyroid gland cannot produce in a sufficient quantity, and relieves the symptoms of hypothyroidism (tiredness, weight gain, and depression).

How to take Thyrofit 75

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Thyrofit 75 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, chest pain, tremor, fever and dangerous heart rhythm disturbance. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

This is usually lifelong treatment. Do not stop when your reports come back normal; the normal report is the medicine working. Report palpitations, tremor, marked weight loss or difficulty sleeping — these suggest the dose is too high. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant; the requirement usually rises and needs prompt adjustment.

Do not take Thyrofit if
