Ursodeoxycholic acid 450 mg (sustained release)

Uses of Udirise SR 450 Tab 15S

Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones (in selected patients), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), cholestatic liver diseases with impaired bile flow (as prescribed)

• •Improves bile flow in cholestasis
• •Protects liver cells from toxic bile acids
• •Helps improve liver enzymes in PBC/other cholestatic disorders

How it works

Ursodeoxycholic acid is a hydrophilic bile acid that reduces cholesterol saturation in bile and helps dissolve cholesterol gallstones. It also improves bile flow and protects liver cells from toxic bile acids in cholestatic liver conditions.

Directions for use

Take the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew (SR formulation). Usually taken once daily or as directed by the physician, preferably after food/at bedtime. Duration is as advised; treatment for gallstones may take months.
