Ultraspas Rf Tablet contains Mefenamic Acid (250mg) + Dicycloverine (10mg). It belongs to the Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and Antispasmodic class of medicines.

How Ultraspas Rf Tablet works

This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Mefenamic Acid and Dicyclomine. Mefenamic Acid blocks the chemicals your body makes at a site of injury or inflammation, which reduces pain, swelling and fever. Dicyclomine relaxes the muscle in the wall of the gut, relieving the cramping pain of a spasm.

How to take Ultraspas Rf Tablet

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with or just after food. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy. Severe abdominal pain, particularly with fever or vomiting, needs a doctor rather than a painkiller or antispasmodic. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Not for people with glaucoma, urinary retention, or a blockage of the gut.

Interactions with other medicines

Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time. Adds to the dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness caused by antihistamines and some antidepressants.
