Ursodeoxycholic Acid (Ursodiol) 300 mg
Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones (in selected patients), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), cholestatic liver disorders with impaired bile flow (as prescribed)
Ursodeoxycholic acid is a bile acid that reduces cholesterol saturation in bile and decreases cholesterol absorption, helping dissolve cholesterol gallstones. It also improves bile flow and protects liver cells from toxic bile acids in cholestatic liver diseases.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually with food and a glass of water; dose is based on body weight and indication and may be given in divided doses. Do not crush/chew unless advised; take regularly and do not stop without medical advice.

Use only under medical supervision. Not suitable for calcified/radiopaque gallstones, non-functioning gallbladder, acute cholecystitis/cholangitis, or bile duct obstruction. Monitor liver function tests regularly, especially in PBC/long-term therapy. Use with caution in severe liver disease, pancreatitis, and in patients with frequent diarrhea. Seek care for severe abdominal pain, vomiting, jaundice worsening, or allergic reactions.
