Vildagliptin 50 mg + Metformin 500 mg (as Metformin Hydrochloride)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (as an adjunct to diet and exercise) when glycaemic control is inadequate with metformin alone or when already treated with vildagliptin and metformin.
Vildagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin hormones (GLP-1, GIP), leading to increased insulin release and reduced glucagon in a glucose-dependent manner. Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity, lowering blood glucose levels.
Oral tablet. Take with food to reduce stomach upset; usually taken once or twice daily as prescribed. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew. Dose and schedule should be individualized based on blood sugar, kidney function and tolerance.
Common side effects of VILDARAY M PLUS may include:

Use caution in pancreatitis history; stop if severe persistent abdominal pain. Hold metformin on the day of iodinated contrast procedures and during major surgery as advised by doctor.
