Vonoprazan 10 mg tablet
Treatment of acid-peptic disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)/reflux esophagitis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, and acid-related dyspepsia; may be used as part of H. pylori eradication regimen when prescribed
Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB). It directly and reversibly inhibits the gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump), leading to rapid and sustained suppression of stomach acid secretion.
Take as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Do not crush or chew. Duration depends on the condition (e.g., GERD/ulcer) and response.

Use with caution in severe liver disease; dose adjustment/monitoring may be needed. Long-term acid suppression may increase risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, and gastrointestinal infections; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Seek medical advice if alarm symptoms occur (blood in vomit/stool, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing). Not intended for immediate relief of acute heartburn unless advised.
