How Waxodiz Eye Drops works

Lubricating eye drops act like artificial tears to supplement the natural tear film. They moisten the eye surface, reduce friction during blinking and help relieve irritation due to dryness.

How to take Waxodiz Eye Drops

For ophthalmic use only. Instill 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed or as directed by an eye specialist. Wash hands before use; avoid touching the dropper tip; remove contact lenses if advised and reinsert after 10–15 minutes (if compatible).

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Waxodiz as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Waxodiz than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Waxodiz Eye Drops

Most side effects of Waxodiz are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Do not use if you are allergic to any component. If pain, vision changes, persistent redness/irritation, or discharge occurs, stop use and consult an eye doctor. Avoid contaminating the dropper tip; do not share the bottle. If using other eye medicines, keep a 10–15 minute gap. Discard the bottle within the period mentioned on the label after opening (commonly 28–30 days).

Interactions with other medicines
