Ofloxacin 200 mg + Ornidazole 500 mg
Treatment of acute infectious diarrhoea and dysentery (including amoebiasis/giardiasis), gastroenteritis and other mixed bacterial-protozoal infections as prescribed by a doctor
Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase/topoisomerase IV, stopping bacterial growth. Ornidazole is a nitroimidazole anti-infective that damages DNA of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, helping clear mixed infections.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed; commonly taken after food with water. Complete the full course and do not skip doses; do not take with milk/antacids/iron supplements within 2 hours of the dose unless advised.

Use only on medical advice; not for self-treatment of diarrhoea. Avoid in allergy to ofloxacin/quinolones or ornidazole/nitroimidazoles. Caution in epilepsy/seizure disorders, liver disease, kidney disease, elderly, myasthenia gravis. Fluoroquinolones may cause tendonitis/tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, CNS effects, QT prolongation and worsening of myasthenia gravis—stop and seek care if tendon pain, numbness/tingling, palpitations, severe dizziness or confusion occur. May cause photosensitivity—limit sun exposure. If severe/persistent diarrhoea occurs, seek medical advice (risk of C. difficile).
