Rosuvastatin 40 mg
Management of high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia) and high triglycerides; prevention of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in high-risk patients along with diet and lifestyle changes.
Rosuvastatin is a statin that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme required for cholesterol synthesis in the liver. This lowers LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides and can modestly increase HDL (good cholesterol), reducing atherosclerotic risk.
Take orally as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water. Continue diet/exercise and do not stop without medical advice; periodic lipid and liver tests may be advised.
Common side effects of ZYROVA 40MG TAB may include:
Prescription-only medicine. Risk of muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis)—seek medical help if unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, weakness, or dark urine occurs, especially with fever. Use with caution in liver disease, heavy alcohol use, untreated hypothyroidism, kidney impairment, and in the elderly. Contraindicated in active liver disease and during pregnancy/breastfeeding. Monitor liver function and lipid profile as advised.
