Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid) 75 mg
Prevention of blood clots; reduces risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction), stroke/TIA and other atherothrombotic events in high-risk patients; used after angioplasty/stent or CABG as advised by doctor.
Aspirin at low dose irreversibly inhibits platelet COX-1, reducing thromboxane A2 formation. This prevents platelet aggregation and lowers the chance of clot formation in blood vessels.
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow tablet whole with water, preferably after food to reduce stomach irritation. Usually taken once daily at the same time; do not crush/chew unless advised.
Common side effects of ZYROVA ASP 75MG may include:
Risk of bleeding (including gastrointestinal and intracranial); avoid if allergic to aspirin/NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer/bleeding, severe bleeding disorders, or aspirin-induced asthma. Use caution in liver/kidney disease, uncontrolled hypertension, gout, and elderly. Stop and seek care for black stools, vomiting blood, unusual bleeding, severe rash or breathing difficulty. Inform surgeon/dentist before procedures; may need to stop before surgery only on doctor advice. Not recommended in children/teenagers with viral infections due to risk of Reye’s syndrome.
