Monograph
Refer to the pack for complete information.
Used to deliver nebulized medications (e.g., bronchodilators, corticosteroids, saline) for respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, bronchitis, wheezing, and nebulization therapy during colds/allergies as advised by a doctor.
A micro piston compressor generates compressed air that passes through the nebulizer chamber to convert liquid medicine into a fine mist (aerosol). The patient inhales this mist via a mask or mouthpiece so the medicine reaches the airways and lungs for local effect.
Use as per doctor’s prescription and device manual. Place the prescribed medicine/normal saline in the nebulizer cup, assemble tubing, cup, and mask/mouthpiece, then switch on the compressor and inhale the mist calmly until the cup is empty (typically 5–15 minutes). Clean and air-dry the nebulizer cup and mask/mouthpiece after each use; do not wash the compressor unit.
No direct drug side effects (device); possible throat irritation, cough during nebulization, dryness, dizziness (from rapid breathing), mask discomfort, noise-related discomfort
Use only with prescribed/nebulizable solutions; do not use oily/viscous liquids unless specifically indicated. Ensure proper cleaning to prevent infections; replace filters and accessories as recommended. Electrical appliance—use correct voltage, keep away from water, do not use with wet hands, supervise children/elderly. Stop use and seek medical help if breathing worsens, severe wheeze, chest pain, or allergy to nebulized medicine occurs. Single-user accessories recommended to avoid cross-infection.
No drug interactions (device). Nebulized medicines used with the device may have interactions as per their labels (e.g., bronchodilators with other stimulants).
Store in a clean, dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Keep the compressor vents unobstructed; store accessories dry in a closed container.
