Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia, folate deficiency, anemia during pregnancy and lactation, nutritional anemia due to poor dietary intake

Iron replenishes body iron stores and is required for hemoglobin formation and oxygen transport. Folic acid is essential for DNA synthesis and red blood cell maturation, helping correct megaloblastic changes due to folate deficiency.

Capsule for oral use. Take as directed by a physician, usually once daily after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; avoid taking with tea/coffee, milk, or antacids close to the dose.

Do not use in iron overload states (hemochromatosis/hemosiderosis) or non–iron-deficiency anemia unless advised. Keep out of reach of children (iron overdose can be fatal). Use with caution in peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disorders. If symptoms persist or severe GI irritation occurs, consult a doctor.

Antacids, calcium supplements, milk, tea/coffee (reduced absorption); tetracyclines and quinolones (reduced absorption of both—separate by 2-4 hours); levothyroxine (separate by at least 4 hours); methyldopa, penicillamine, bisphosphonates (reduced absorption—separate dosing)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep the container tightly closed.
