Product details are provided by the manufacturer. Refer to the pack for complete information.
Used to non-invasively measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate; helpful for home monitoring in respiratory illness (e.g., asthma/COPD), COVID/flu recovery, high altitude exposure, and general fitness/health checks.
A pulse oximeter uses red and infrared light through the fingertip to estimate oxygen saturation (SpO2) based on light absorption differences between oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin. It also detects pulse rate from pulsatile blood flow signals.
Insert 2 AAA batteries if required (as per device), place the device on a clean, warm finger (nail facing up), keep the hand still at heart level, and press the power button. Wait a few seconds for stable readings; avoid movement, cold fingers, nail polish/false nails, and strong ambient light for best accuracy. For personal tracking, record readings at the same time each day or as advised by a clinician.
No known side effects; may cause brief fingertip pressure/discomfort in sensitive users
This is a screening/monitoring device and does not replace medical evaluation. Readings may be inaccurate with poor circulation, cold extremities, low blood pressure, movement/shivering, dark nail polish/artificial nails, bright light, anemia, carbon monoxide poisoning, methemoglobinemia, and in some arrhythmias. Seek urgent care if SpO2 is persistently low or symptoms (breathlessness, chest pain, bluish lips) occur even with normal readings. Keep out of reach of children; choking hazard if small parts/batteries are accessible.
No drug interactions. Accuracy can be affected by nail polish, skin dyes, and conditions causing abnormal hemoglobin or low perfusion.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep batteries removed if not used for long periods; avoid high heat and water exposure.
