Paediatric paracetamol is dosed at about 10–15 mg per kg of body weight per dose, every 4–6 hours as needed, with a maximum of 4 doses (and ≤ 60 mg/kg) in 24 hours. The calculator converts that mg dose into millilitres for the syrup strength you select.
Weight gives a far more accurate paediatric dose than age. Always dose by the child's current weight where possible; age is only a rough fallback.

At 15 mg/kg a 10 kg child needs about 150 mg per dose. 250 mg/5 ml syrup is 50 mg/ml, so that is roughly 3 ml. Always confirm the strength printed on your bottle and check with your paediatrician.
