Atorvastatin 10 mg + Ezetimibe 10 mg
Management of high cholesterol and mixed dyslipidaemia; reduction of LDL-C and total cholesterol; prevention of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in at-risk patients as advised by a doctor.
Atorvastatin (a statin) inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis in the liver and increasing LDL clearance. Ezetimibe blocks intestinal absorption of cholesterol by inhibiting NPC1L1, further lowering LDL when combined with a statin.
Tablet for oral use. Take once daily at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed. Continue diet/exercise advice; do not stop without medical advice.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Advastat Ez 10MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Prescription-only lipid-lowering medicine. Avoid in active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevation of liver enzymes. Statins can rarely cause muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis); seek medical help for unexplained muscle pain/weakness, fever, or dark urine. Use caution in patients with kidney problems, hypothyroidism, heavy alcohol use, or elderly (higher myopathy risk). Periodic lipid profile and liver function monitoring may be advised. Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid breastfeeding.
