Salbutamol (as Salbutamol Sulphate) 2 mg/5 ml respiratory solution
Relief and prevention of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma, COPD (chronic bronchitis, emphysema) and other reversible obstructive airway diseases; wheezing and shortness of breath due to airway narrowing
Salbutamol is a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist. It relaxes bronchial smooth muscle, leading to bronchodilation and improved airflow, quickly relieving wheeze and breathlessness.
Respiratory solution for inhalation via nebulizer only (not for injection; avoid oral use unless specifically advised). Use the dose and frequency prescribed by the doctor; often diluted with sterile normal saline to the required volume and nebulized using a compressor/nebulizer. Use as needed for acute symptoms or regularly as prescribed; rinse mouth/face after nebulization.
Common side effects of Asthalin Resp/Soln may include:

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Asthalin Resp/Soln. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in heart disease (arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease), hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and seizure disorders. Excess use can worsen asthma control and increase risk of serious side effects—seek medical care if relief is inadequate or symptoms worsen. May cause hypokalemia (risk increased with diuretics/xanthines/steroids) and rarely paradoxical bronchospasm (stop and seek help). Monitor blood glucose in diabetics; avoid self-escalation of dose.
