Cleargel Nico Gel contains Clindamycin 1% w/w + Nicotinamide (Niacinamide) 4% w/w (topical gel). It belongs to the Topical antibiotic + Vitamin B3 derivative (anti-inflammatory) class of medicines.

How Cleargel Nico Gel works

Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and reduces Cutibacterium acnes, decreasing inflammation. Nicotinamide has anti-inflammatory effects and may reduce sebum and improve skin barrier, helping reduce redness and acne lesions.

How to take Cleargel Nico Gel

External use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected skin once or twice daily as advised; avoid eyes, mouth and mucosa; use moisturizer/sunscreen if dryness or sensitivity occurs.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Apply it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next application, skip the missed one — applying extra does not make up for it.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause vomiting, severe loose motions and nerve symptoms. It is unlikely to cause serious harm, because the body passes surplus B vitamins out in the urine. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Space the doses evenly and complete the course. Take tetracyclines with a full glass of water and stay upright for half an hour afterwards. Never use a leftover antibiotic, or someone else's, for a new illness. A supplement corrects a deficiency; it is not a general energy tonic. If you are on it for nerve symptoms, keep your review appointment so the underlying cause is looked for.
